Does it fit all bicycles?
The safe-T-seat is the most adaptable
child carrier on the market today. It
fits more bikes (incl. mountain bikes)
than any other front mounted seat. A
minimum of 2 cm (3/4 inch) is needed on
the handle bar stem to accommodate the
stinger assembly. In case the seat should
not fit at all you are welcome to make
use of our easy return policy (see FAQ:
ORDER). top

Will it fit your kids?
The safe-T-seat is designed for children
age 4 and under. The recommended minimum
age is 12 months or when the child is
able to sit up well and hold the weight
of a helmet on his/her head. The maximum
height of the child that can use the
safe-T-seat is 106 cm (42 inches). Kids
much taller than that will be
uncomfortable. The
recommended max. weight is 17 kg (38
lbs).

How does the seat connection work again?
The seat is connected to the bicycle
through the safe stinger connector. You
can remove the safety and pin clip easily
and slide out the seat quickly. You can
ride ride without the seat, leave the
seat at home or day care or slide it on a
second stinger on another bike within
seconds.

Anything else I need to know about the
installation?
The installation is usually very straight
forward. You might have to raise the
handle bar to create the needed gap on
the stem. This can be achieved by
removing spacing washers on the handle
bar stem and/or by raising the handle bar
slightly. In some cases, the screw
holding the decorative cap on top of your
handle bar was too short after raising
the bar - a slightly longer screw
(available in bike shops) will solve this
issue.

How do I install the seat?
The seat comes with detailed installation
instructions (We are happy to mail one to
you if you need) . There is only one part
to be installed, which is the stinger
assembly. It will be installed to your
handle bar shaft. The seat comes with the
installation tools. It is a simple
procedure - if you like to have it fixed
for you, your local bicycle store might
be able to assist. After the stinger is
fixed all you have to do is to slide on
the seat and secure it with the safety
clip & pin.
